Strategy Menjangkau Pelanggan Lewat Social Media

Jika anda seorang aktivis social media maka anda patut membaca ini!!

Setiap hari saya membaca di Twitter, Blog maupun facebook seseorang yang menamakan dirinya seorang ahli media sosial menyatakan pendapatnya tentang media tersebut. Dengan lantangnya beliau bilang, “Tidak ada ROI (Return on Investment) di dalam media sosial. Berinteraksilah, libatkan diri anda, bangun hubungan yang baik. Anda tidak dapat menghitung ROI dari sebuah hubungan.”

Kata-kata yang hampir sama juga keluar dari ahli social media “kawakan”, Online startegist sampai yang biasa berkecimpung dibidang Online Marketing yang sehari-hari anda dengar namanya. Istilah guru atau “ahli” dalam media ini tidak benar-benar ada. Bagaimanapun, media ini baru muncul beberapa tahun belakangan.

Social Media Marketing Strategy in RoadMap

There’s a lot of excitement from marketers and companies but not everyone is exactly sure how to go about it. About how to make Social Media Marketing Strategy !!

The effective social media expert participation is the ability to create, publish and share content which make rumor and drive trend issue. The sheer volume of information on the topic of social media marketing makes filtering and prioritizing what’s most important to a specific organization a challenging task.

By understanding the social web, audiences, horizontal media as it relates to fundamental online marketing principles, online tactics, social media tools and best practices, you can create a framework or roadmap for the development of a working social media marketing strategy.

As for building the framework for a social media strategy, I would suggest these 6 key considerations:
Audience – Listen and understand your audience insight. Then understanding how they communicate/interact on the social web. What types of social networks (usually specified by geo-location), social media sharing and assets do they engage? What are their goals for doing so?... the best way to understanding is you have to act as human, and fall into online communitiy

Strategic Plan - What online marketing you'll make? What approach will you take to meet the needs and interests of your audience in order to meet your own? Will you engage influencers, will you energize brand advocates or will you create demand by offering non-branded resources?

Objectives – It’s important to consider both the goals of the company as well as the audience you’re trying to reach. Marketing on the social web is about giving to get. Knowing what your community wants is key in reaching your own organization’s goals because you’re going to give it to them.

Tactics – What social media marketing secret tactics and corresponding technologies will you use to implement the plan? Blogging, microblogging, social networks, video, forums, blogger relations and outreach. There are many to consider.

Social networking Tools – What specific tools will you use to efficiently monitor, communicate, create and promote social content? WordPress, Facebook or MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Again, there are many to consider.

Metrics
/ KPI– How will you measure success according to the objectives you’ve identified? What tools will you employ and at what point will you take benchmark measurements as well as interval measurements? Who will you report results to in the organization and will there be success metrics that you can share with the community you’re engaging?

What Social Media Expert Need To Know

Sory to say there are lots of people throwing “I'm social media expert” out there just because they are using twitter, facebook, or have an account at wordpress.com. Hell, I had it as part of my “about” on my blog, but I’ve chosen to just say that I advise people.

It’s more accurate, because expertise is fairly darned fleeting out there right now. With that in mind, I’ve been thinking about things I want a so-called expert to know (and I want you to add to this list, or call me out if you disagree): So, What Social Media Expert Need To Know?

Tactical

  • How to install a blog (pick your software) on a hosted server.
  • How to edit the sidebar to include a widget, or an embed, or anything.
  • How to create, edit, and post at least one other type of media besides text.
  • At least five social network accounts active, including but not limited to: LinkedIn, Yahoo! Groups, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • How to find and subscribe to a podcast WITHOUT using iTunes.
  • Five stats worth knowing for any blog/website.
  • How to structure a blog post so that humans and Google like it - same as SEO copywrithing

Social Media Strategic

  • Which department you think your role should fall into.
  • How your role ties to marketing, PR, advertising, R&D, finance, HR, sales.
  • What tasks you’d expect a community manager to perform, and how would you measure them.
  • How you expect a company to engage in “the conversation,” and what processes will go into place to make any of that matter.
  • How to turn blog posts into business leads with social media strategy.
  • How to listen and find where people are talking about you - .
  • Ways to report your weekly listening and community work to a very senior level person in a huge company that has about 2 minutes of time to hear your briefing.
  • Know about 100 rainmaker people in the space who are doing something. The more diverse the profession and location, the better.
  • How to launch and operate a blogger outreach campaign.
  • How to tie other media into social media as an integrated campaign.

If you look around at many of the profiles might be on facebook, blog, or any social network then found on people’s ultra-short/sharp bios on Twitter, you will notice something very interesting: almost everybody says that they are either a New Media Strategist or a Social Media Strategist. What, exactly, does that mean and how can you better understand just how good they are at online marketing strategy? …

It’s interesting to see the proliferation of social media experts on Twitter, facebook and Blogs. I guess it’s nice to be in a field that’s growing exponentially careers — after years when people would grasp you by the shoulders and say, "It’ll be all right" when you tell them you’re a journalist 2.0.

Mencari Seorang Blogpreneur Sejati

Suasana seminar “Mencari Blogpreneur Sejati” di hari kedua ini sedikit lebih santai, terlebih ini sesi terakhir. Setelah istirahat makan siang tadi, sesi paling akhir ini diisi seorang entrepreneur yang sudah cukup kondang, baik di kalangan blogger maupun dunia usaha.

Saya tidak tahu persis, apakah ini suatu kebetulan atau sengaja dilakukan oleh panitia demi mencari sedikit sensasi. Dari temanya, pembicaranya, sampai hotel tempat diadakan seminar yang paling dicari para blogger dan entrepreneur tahun ini, semua mengandung kata “Sejati”.

Seminar yang yang berlangsung selama dua hari ini diselenggarakan di hotel “Bintang Sejati”, pembicara pada sesi akhir ini bernama Rogo Sejati, koq lebih pantas jadi nama paranormal daripada pembicara seminar :-) . Terakhir adalah tema dari seminar ini sendiri, yaitu Mencari Blogpreneur Sejati yang kerap juga menjadi seoarang online strategist.

Sebagai pemula yang baru belajar blog belakangan ini, saya kurang mengerti arti sesungguhnya dari kata blogpreneur. Kalau artinya saja tidak tahu, bagaimana pula saya akan ikut mencarinya :-) .

Saya hadir karena diajak kawan-kawan blogger yang kebetulan sudah lama menekuni dunia blogging dan mendapatkan uang dari aktifitas ngeblog tersebut. Bahkan beberapa diantaranya telah memutuskan keluar dari tempat kerja mereka sebelumnya dan beralih menjadi full time blogger.

Tanpa terasa, presentasi yang disampaikan oleh bapak Rogo Sejati, selaku pembicara terakhir telah usai. Tibalah acara penutupan yang paling dicari dan ditunggu.

Sebagai penutupan dari rangkaian seminar selama dua hari ini, panitia dengan dibantu oleh beberapa blogger senior dan tokoh entrepreneur, mencari dan memilih tiga orang yang dinominasikan dan layak menyandang predikat Blogpreneur Sejati.

Gemuruh tepuk tangan peserta seminar menyambut dua nama yang telah dipanggil moderator untuk maju ke panggung seminar. Tiba-tiba… setengah tidak percaya, saya dipanggil sebagai nominasi ketiga untuk maju ke depan. Belum hilang rasa kaget dari diri ini, kawan-kawan yang tadi datang bersama saya mendorong maju dan mengelu-elukan nama saya.

Tepuk tangan peserta seminar terus mengiringi dan memeriahkan suasana yang sudah mulai senja itu. Tiba-tiba ada suatu suara yang amat keras persis di sisi telinga kanan saya, memanggil nama saya dengan nada menjerit, hingga hampir sakit telinga kanan ini dibuatnya. “Hei..tidur melulu, jadi belajar ngeblog gak?”

Rupanya…, kawan saya sambil setengah berteriak membangunkan tidur saya dan membuyarkan mimpi tersebut. Duhh..sampai terbawa mimpi, cita-cita dan keinginan untuk menjadi Blogpreneur Sejati :-) .
